The aim of the course is to equip registered nurses with knowledge and skills to competently deliver care for cardiac, cardiothoracic-vascular surgical and cardiac rehabilitation patients.
The aim of the course is to equip registered nurses with knowledge, critical thinking and problem solving skills in addition to the critical care nursing competencies to competently deliver safe care for patients in the critical care areas.
The LSCN aims to train nurses to participate and manage clinical resuscitation together with the medical team members.
Nurses will learn how to identify and independently manage initial arrest situations, as well as how to manage clinical resuscitations and assess one's ability to lead the crisis management using a standardised algorithm.
The Course is accredited by the Singapore National Resuscitation Council (NRC) / Singapore Resuscitation First Aid Council (SRFAC). Successful providers will be certified LSCN providers with a 2-year certification validity that can be renewed.
