    2. NUHCS Achieves Asia's First International Accreditation For Diagnostic Vascular Lab

      Diagnostic Vascular Laboratory (DVL)

      Since July 2024, the National University Heart Centre, Singapore’s (NUHCS) Diagnostic Vascular Laboratory (DVL) has become the first and only laboratory in Asia to earn the acclaimed Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) accreditation. This accolade recognises institutes for the quality of diagnostic services and patient care provided.

      In a significant milestone in the emerging multidisciplinary field of cardio-oncology in Singapore, the National University Heart Centre, Singapore (NUHCS) has been recognised as a Global Centre of Excellence in Cardio-Oncology by the International Cardio-Oncology Society – the first centre in the region to be awarded the accreditation.

      NUHCS is proud to be the only cardiac centre in Singapore to rank globally in Newsweek's World's Best Hospitals for Cardiac Surgery specialty, in 2022, 2023 and 2024, for 3 years consecutively.

    1. ​15th Anniversary Charity Golf & Dinner Event

      In commemoration of NUHCS' 15th Anniversary as a Specialty National Centre, NUHCS organised its inaugural Charity Golf & Dinner event, with Senior Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam gracing the event as our Guest-of-Honour. This charity event has collectively raised over $1.4million (as of Aug 2023). The generous donation to the NUHCS Heart Fund, a sub-fund of NUHS Fund Limited, has helped to support our financially disadvantaged heart patients on their journey towards better heart health and a hopeful future.

    1. ​The Asian Representative At The EuroPCR 2023 Conference

      NUHCS was the only live transmission centre in Asia and presented 2 cases at the EuroPCR 2023 - the world's leading course in interventional cardiovascular medicine, held in Paris, France, from 16-19 May. Attended by more than 12,000 delegates worldwide, the presentation from NUHCS served as an invaluable opportunity to provide an Asian perspective to the contemporary interventional approach to patients with increasingly complex disease and comorbidities. This invitation also serves as a testament of NUHCS' recognition as a Centre of Excellence in catheter-based interventional cardiology in Asia.
