Biosketch

Dr Peter Chang completed his undergraduate studies at University of Chicago and received his medical degree from the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine, in U.S.A. He completed his internal medicine residency at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Francisco and received American Board of Internal Medicine certification in 2007.

Prior to coming to Singapore, Dr. Chang was working as a hospital-based medical specialist and a basic science researcher on immunotherapy in University of California San Francisco. He completed his cardiology fellowship in National University Hospital of Singapore and was awarded the Academic Medicine Development Award in 2013 for further training in ACGME accredited Vascular Medicine fellowship in Stanford University. Most recently, he was awarded a sabbatical to train in peripheral vascular interventions in National Taiwan University Hospital.

Dr. Chang is passionate about diseases affecting blood vessels and therapeutics for peripheral artery disease. His area of expertise includes vascular medicine and endovascular treatment of critical limb ischemia and prevention of limb amputation. Currently his research focus involves topics related to recognition of peripheral artery disease and cardiovascular risks.
